Olá, I’m Cristina Tulcidas, a product designer who seeks to blend insights, cognitive psychology and emotional behaviours to unlock conscious experiences that humanise the intersection of people and technology. As I grow as a professional, I gravitate towards practicing a more ethical design. Designer by qualification, kind human by choice.
What ties it together, is a love for learning and passion for understanding people and their stories.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve worked in the most diverse environments and in very distinctive industries, from enterprise and international technology companies of consumer facing digital products like Opera and Tutteo, to small agencies such as Studio Netting and Triplesky, to startups among AI Coaching and Evodeck Software.

I have a passion for teaching, guiding and rising others — there’s a quote from Simon Sinek that deeply resonates with how I intend to one drive people as an aspiring design manager, which quotes: “Leadership is not a journey to rise in the ranks. Leadership is a journey to help those around us rise”.

My methodology is adaptive and cross-collaborative. I believe great products are built upon the fluidity between design, research and engineering.

Currently, voluntarily co-founding and defining the product vision at local.foundation, a platform dedicated to fostering strong and vibrant communities by tackling the growing problem of loneliness within the community building industry.

I am inspired by growth and humanity, emotional intelligence, mental health and love. As a life-long learner and advocate of inclusivity, diversity, equality and connection, I am always humbled by the wisdom and kindness of others.

On occasion I enjoy talking to the community about the importance of design and cross-collaboration in tech-teams, and when I am not lost in design related subjects, you can find me playing with my four-legged daughter, strength-training, running, playing paddle tennis or riding down the slopes.
